Many people are curious about the process of using a mobile massage therapist. They don’t know how it works or how it’ll go. If this is you, keep reading!
First, you can conveniently book your first visit online, or you can call us to set it up.
On the day of your appointment, your massage therapist will show up with all of the necessary equipment: the table, the sheets, the essential oils, and the massage lotion. You don’t need to provide any of it. Just tell them where to set up and they’ll get to it.
Next, your therapist will look through your intake paperwork to identify your chief areas of concern. Whether it’s neck tension, stress levels, or your hamstrings that never seem to loosen up, they’ll want to know a little more about what’s going on. They’ll also ask about any other health conditions you have, any surgeries you’ve undergone, any medications you take, any previous fractures, or if you’re currently pregnant to make sure they can alter their approach if necessary.
Next, they’ll start your massage! We always encourage you to keep communication open with your massage therapist about their pressure or any technique preferences you have (for example, if you enjoy cupping or not).
Once your massage is done, your therapist will ask if you would like to reschedule. If you struggle with making time for your self-care, we highly recommend you schedule your next appointment at this point. This will help increase your commitment to yourself and your self-care. We also encourage you to reschedule at this time if you have a physical complaint that you are actively working to resolve (for example, neck pain) with your massage therapist. Maintaining a regular schedule with your therapist will help improve these complaints.
